Limping Man, The (1953) IMDB rating: 5.90 Plot: American Frank Pryor (Lloyd Bridges) arrives in London to take up an interrupted romance with Pauline French (Moria Lister), whom he hasn’t seen in six years. At the airport a man standing alongside Pryor is slain by an unseen sniper, and he is detained by Scotland Yard for questioning. Released, he goes to Pauline’s apartment, and learns that she had an intimate association with the slain man and is not interested in talking about it. Scotland Yard also knows this and Pryor and Pauline are kept under surveillance. After complications involving the dead man’s wife, it is found that the man Pauline knows isn’t dead at all and isn’t who he is supposed to be.

I had a bad dream, do I need therapy?

My small town of talcott, wv was attacked by an unknwn source. But many people were killed, murdered. Men, women, children. Friends, family, it was all the same. Buildings were falling apart, the roads were cracking, trees were splitting, explosions all around. I was in the heart of all the chaos. But I wasn’t screaming, nor was I upset. I was playing a song on my scuffed up piano, ignorant of what was going on around me. My friend, Claudia crawled up to me, her eyes were torn out. Blood was pouring from her stomach, she had lost her left arm. "Ashley, Ashley, for God sakes help me!" she screamed. I made no eye contact, all I said was "I have to tell him." She tried getting my attention but I payed no mind. She died right next to me. My friend Andy, Claudia’s enemy, was in a tree, laughing. Many horrible things happened to my friends, but what tore me up inside was my boyfriend, Canyon. "Ashley, we have to get out of here!" He screamed pulling on me. I didn’t budge. He begged me to run away, but I ignored his cries. I simply said, "I have to tell you." "Tell me what?" He asked. I didn’t answer. A building exploded near us, and a piece landed on him, ripping his left body. The right side was still alive, but barely. I stopped playing and ran to his side. "Canyon?!?" I screamed. "Ashley . . . Get . . . Go away . . . " He managed. "Canyon, no! I have to tell you!" "What?" He asked. "I . . . I don’t know!" I answered. He grabbed my jawline, brought me down to him, and kissed me with his bloodstained lips. His arm fell limp, and he died. I stood up and looked around, for the first time I noticed the worlds end. Claudia in a puddle of blood. Andy up in a tree, her arm was hanging by a few strands of flesh, he jaw was ripped off, her legs a few feet away from her. The piano I was playing was crushed by a falling piece of concrete. The church was on fire. A baby’s head resting lazily on the road. A pregnant lady with a sword run through her stomach. I cried only for Canyon. I reached down, ripped out his heart, still warm, and held it like a child in my hands. Then I walked away. Far away. And never looked back.

No the only movie I saw was the fourth kind yesterday, but I’ve been having the same dream over and over for weeks now, and It just keeps getting worse!! I try not to fall asleep. My eyes are black all around and I don’t feel like doing anything!! It’s tearing me apart!!!

No. Just get to bed earlier and don’t be too cold or hot in bed, nor eat too much too late at night. This works fine for everybody. Take it easy- just because there is psycho-analysis doesn’t mean we need it! Take care. Have fun!

This is just a dream. A random collection of images and ideas that your conciousness tries to assemble into some kind of story. You only need therapy for things that are happening in your real life. As terrible as this dream may have been, it’s based on things you’ve seen or ideas you’ve had, films you’ve watched, things people have said.

As Letting It Stand says, you can prevent nightmares by making sure you eat properly and are physically comfortable. I have nightmares too, somethimes story like ones, sometimes I imagine people are in the room where I sleep. This happens if I eat the wrong food before bed. You have a very good imagination, thats a good thing. Psychologists say that intelligent people have the most nightmares.

I’ve never heard of anyone being called Canyon before.

To put it shortly, dreams are the reflection of our desires or fears…
Since you see your friends die that means that you really care about them and that you are most afraid of loosing them… but if you do loose them someday you will get over it and just move on with your life (just like you did in your dream). Even if it sounds absurd right now, it might still be the truth.
I would recommend you to spend a night over at your friends place or watch a comedy (something like Mr.Bin) before going to sleep.
P.S. You don’t need a therapist, just be more positive ^_^
